The Vision of First Baptist Church
__________________________________________________________

Our vision is to Make a Difference.

We must make a difference by being a loving, forgiving, accepting, and healing congregation which disciples loving, forgiving, accepting, and healing people.

We must make a difference by teaching families how to live as husband and wife, children and parents, brothers and sisters.  We strive to nurture children in the ways of the Lord and to affirm adults in knowing and doing God’s plan for the family.

We must make a difference in the lives of individuals and empower them to walk with the Lord on their spiritual journey with Jesus.

We must make a difference in heaven by adding the number of people from the Puget Sound region that will be there.  South Kitsap has at best 14 percent who go to church and even fewer are born again.  Our vision must be to dent that number and make a difference for eternity.

We must make a difference by being a regional church with a global impact.  We are in need of strong, evangelical, and sensitive congregations which care both about people’s needs and honoring the Lord.

We must make a difference by building the necessary physical plant: sanctuary, education facility, schools, and administration space to facilitate the growth needed to match the population explosion occurring in South Kitsap.
